Billionaire tech mogul adds Florida luxury resort to real estate portfolio

Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, has an estimated net worth of $143 billion

Billionaire Larry Ellison, co-founder and former CEO of Oracle, has purchased the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan, Florida, for $277 million. The purchase adds to Ellison's growing real estate portfolio in the Palm Beach area, where he owns several properties, including a large estate on nearby Jupiter Island.

The Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, which has 309 rooms and suites, is located on a stretch of beach just south of Palm Beach. The resort includes a variety of amenities, including a spa, fitness center, several restaurants, and a golf course. It is also home to the Eau Spa, which has been ranked among the top spas in the United States by Conde Nast Traveler.

Ellison's purchase of the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa is the latest in a series of recent real estate acquisitions by the billionaire. In 2022, he purchased the Lanai Resort on Lanai, Hawaii, for $300 million. He also owns a number of other properties in California, including a large estate in Malibu and a vineyard in Napa Valley.
