Breaking News: Oilers Make Three Selections in 2023 NHL Draft

The Oilers selected Mark Messier 48th overall in 1979, followed by Jeff Beukeboom 19th overall in 1983. On Thursday, the team continued its long-standing tradition of drafting future stars by making three selections on Day 2 of the 2023 Upper Deck NHL Draft.
Oilers Acquisitions
With the 44th overall pick, the Oilers selected an undisclosed player whose position, team, and draft status are yet to be revealed. They also traded away Tyson Barrie to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Mattias Ekholm and a 2024 sixth round pick.
