Nikola Jokić Dominates, Anthony Edwards Shines in Game 1
Nuggets 120 - Timberwolves 111
The Denver Nuggets have advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 6 of their first-round series. Nikola Jokić, the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, led the way for the Nuggets with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jamal Murray added 26 points and 7 assists, while Aaron Gordon chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds.
For the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards was the lone bright spot, scoring a game-high 43 points on 16-of-29 shooting. Karl-Anthony Towns added 23 points and 12 rebounds, but the rest of the Timberwolves' supporting cast struggled to make an impact.
The Nuggets took control of the game early, jumping out to a 12-point lead in the first quarter. They maintained their advantage throughout the rest of the game, never allowing the Timberwolves to get closer than 7 points in the second half.
The Nuggets will now face the top-seeded Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals, which is set to begin on Monday.
